Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Inghard (ranked 3739 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aliev Saur (ranked 3713 p4p, 0 weight class). Aliev Saur has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inghard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Saur.
Inghard cracks Saur with a good jab.
We've been informed that Saur has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Saur feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saur thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Saur drops back looking for a leg! Inghard is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Inghard manages to kick Saur off! Saur jumps back into Inghard's guard.
Saur throws a big right hand that misses.
Saur won't allow Inghard to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Saur drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Saur jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Inghard looking for a sweep. Not yet Inghard, not yet.
Saur in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Saur connects with a couple of short punches.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Saur has eaten all the pies!

Saur passes Inghard's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Saur is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Inghard doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Saur.
Inghard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saur on the ground.
Saur throwing shots but Inghard is blocking nicely.

Saur is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saur prevents Inghard from improving his position.

Saur is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Inghard is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
