Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Braxton Savage (ranked 6644 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eoin O Raghallaigh (ranked 9385 p4p, 0 weight class). Eoin O Raghallaigh is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eoin O Raghallaigh!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Raghallaigh throws a jab when Savage was well out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - O Raghallaigh looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Savage closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
O Raghallaigh tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Savage manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Savage holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Savage gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, O Raghallaigh regains guard.
Savage's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Savage stops O Raghallaigh from standing up.
Savage controls from within his opponent's guard.
Savage is standing up over O Raghallaigh. O Raghallaigh looks to escape but Savage dives into side control.
O Raghallaigh pushes Savage away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Savage gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Savage ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Savage no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

It looks like it's working - Savage slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! O Raghallaigh displaying calm under pressure there.

Savage drops back looking for a leg! O Raghallaigh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and O Raghallaigh manages to kick Savage off! Savage jumps back into O Raghallaigh's guard.

Savage looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
O Raghallaigh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Savage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Savage looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Braxton Savage.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Savage, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
