Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamaica Yellowbear (ranked 6579 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Malenko (ranked 9433 p4p, 0 weight class). Malenko has chosen Shooter as his entrance music. Dean Malenko will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yellowbear leaves Malenko with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Yellowbear closes the distance and clinches up with Malenko, looking for a takedown. Yellowbear pushes Malenko against the cage but Malenko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Malenko looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Yellowbear!
Malenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yellowbear. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Yellowbear can't do much from the bottom here.
Yellowbear is not content to let Malenko control the position.
Yellowbear is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Malenko off and has taken his back!
I really don't envy Malenko right now.
Malenko just trying to survive but Yellowbear is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Yellowbear's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Malenko is keeping busy.
Malenko trying to control the action but Yellowbear just sinks the hooks in.
Malenko felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Yellowbear is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Malenko is defending well though. Yellowbear let's go of the attempt for now.

Malenko is trying to get back to his feet but Yellowbear has full control of the position and if anything, Malenko has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Yellowbear is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Malenko defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Yellowbear is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Malenko has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Yellowbear has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Malenko taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Yellowbear doesn't care though - he's delighted!
