Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Gower (ranked 345 p4p, 38 weight class) and Henrik Torhammer (ranked 746 p4p, 80 weight class). Torhammer has chosen Doom Unit - Killing Time as his entrance music. Jeff Gower has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gower pivots, looking for a leg kick but Torhammer is out of range and Gower settles back down.
A slow jab from Gower misses its intended target.
Torhammer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Torhammer swings widly with a right hand
and Gower counters with a stiff right hand.
Gower blocks the body kick.
Torhammer walks into a stiff left hand from Gower.

It looks like Henrik Torhammer has been cut.
A solid leg kick lands there for Gower.
Gower takes a swing at Torhammer's ribcage but misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Gower misses the target.
Torhammer avoids a kick to the body.
Torhammer lands a front kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Gower misses the target.
Gower looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Torhammer. Gower shrugs it off though.

A bone on bone clash there as Torhammer blocks the leg kick.
Gower throws the kick towards the body but Torhammer avoids it.
Torhammer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Torhammer lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Torhammer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gower sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice straight punches there by Gower. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gower.
Gower lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Torhammer connects with a looping right hand.
Gower doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A big right from Gower misses.
Torhammer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Torhammer there as he acknowledges the shot.

Gower lands a body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Torhammer tries to bum rush Gower with a series of wild strikes but Gower uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Torhammer moves out of range of the body kick from Gower.
An inside leg kick lands from Gower.
Torhammer walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gower checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Gower missing with a left hand there. Torhammer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Henrik Torhammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gower moves forwards but Torhammer connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Torhammer blocks the body kick.
Gower throws a head kick but Torhammer moves out of range.
Gower lands a nice shot to the body.
Torhammer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gower throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gower pivots, looking for a leg kick but Torhammer is out of range and Gower settles back down.
Torhammer only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Nice body punch from Gower.
Gower bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Torhammer looks to land a body kick but Gower moved away.
Torhammer moves out of range as Gower strikes.
Torhammer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Torhammer looks to score with a jab to the body but Gower is just out of range.
It looked like Gower was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Torhammer.
Torhammer fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gower has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Gower connects with a body shot that sends Torhammer's belly button to the back.

Torhammer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gower moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Torhammer swings for the body but Gower moves out of range.
Torhammer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Torhammer takes a swing at Gower's ribcage but misses.
Gower scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Torhammer doesn't seem bothered though.
Torhammer lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Gower counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Torhammer is still on wobbly legs! Can Gower finish him?
Gower avoids a kick to the body.
Gower connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gower circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Torhammer to the canvas! Torhammer doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Gower keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
