PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Humphrey Baker (ranked 342 p4p, 50 weight class) and Aldo Vurny (ranked 332 p4p, 48 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Humphrey Baker!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Aldo Vurny!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker throws a leg kick but Vurny sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Baker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Baker cracks Vurny with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Vurny lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Baker throws out a loose jab but Vurny uses good head movement to avoid it.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Humphrey Baker will probably get the nod.

Humphrey Baker spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
