Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimmy Carruthers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pablo Jr Silva!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks to throw the jab but Carruthers is out of range.
Carruthers throws a series of strikes that have Silva backpedaling.
Carruthers looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Silva does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Carruthers throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Carruthers misses the shot to the body.
And Silva tries to counter it with a takedown but Carruthers pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Silva blocks a low kick nicely.
Silva with the counter takedown but Carruthers avoids it easily.
Silva tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Carruthers defends well and Silva ends up having to push Carruthers into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jimmy Carruthers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva has closed the distance and engaged Carruthers in a clinch.

Carruthers is trying to force a seperation but Silva has the dominant position.
Carruthers gets underhooks to prevent Silva's takedown attempt.

Carruthers breaks the clinch.

Carruthers throws a shot to the body.
Carruthers scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Silva takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Carruthers scores with a one two! Silva had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Silva is rocked!
Carruthers is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Silva flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Silva is out cold! Carruthers holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
