Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leigh Rush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonathan The Machine!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Machine stuffs the takedown.
Rush has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from The Machine.
Rush fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rush tries to clinch but The Machine moves out of range.

The Machine throws a sloppy head kick

and Rush counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rush.
The Machine wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rush manages to pass to side control.
The Machine is trying to escape back to his feet but Rush uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The Machine is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Rush lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear The Machine down.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The Machine tries to escape but Rush is in control.
The Machine bucks up and tries to throw Rush off but instead Rush has got his back!
The Machine is trying to get back to his feet but Rush has full control of the position and if anything, The Machine has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Rush will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The Machine is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
The Machine throws a leg kick

and Rush counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rush.
The Machine is wriggling around but Rush manages to pass to half guard.

Rush thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The Machine looks like he's trying to stand up.
The Machine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rush. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The Machine tries to kick Rush off in order to stand up. Rush Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Machine wants to get back to his feet but Rush is dominant here and he's now got The Machine's back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rush has both hooks in and is working for a choke. The Machine is in real trouble here. Rush gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, The Machine is tapping out! Rush wins by rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Leigh Rush!
