Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blind Shaman (ranked 555 p4p, 84 weight class) and Wolfram Stelzer (ranked 460 p4p, 70 weight class). Shaman comes to the cage accompanied by Shaman's Dream. Stelzer has chosen Business Time as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blind Shaman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 26 - 1, fighting out of London, Wolfram Stelzer!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaman throws a leg kick that is checked

and Stelzer counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Shaman managing to control the position.
Stelzer trying to control but Shaman is working from the bottom.
Stelzer throws a strike but Shaman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Shaman won't allow Stelzer to sweep him here.
Shaman trying to control the position from guard on top but Stelzer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stelzer is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shaman trying to control the position from guard on top but Stelzer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Shaman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stelzer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shaman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Stelzer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shaman's guard.

Shaman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Shaman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stelzer manages to get himself to full guard.

Stelzer looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Stelzer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Shaman is stalling in the full guard.

Stelzer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Shaman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Stelzer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Shaman swings for the body but Stelzer moves out of range.

Stelzer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Stelzer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shaman.
Shaman lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A big right from Stelzer misses.
Shaman moves into range and connects with a jab.
Shaman on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stelzer shoots in but Shaman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shaman was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Stelzer avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Stelzer throws out a loose jab but Shaman uses good head movement to avoid it.
A punch lands to the side of Shaman 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Shaman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Shaman swings widly with a right hand
and Stelzer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stelzer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Shaman swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Shaman swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Good work by Stelzer as he checks the leg kick.
Stelzer let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Stelzer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Wolfram Stelzer will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Shaman moves into the clinch successfully.
Shaman misses with a body punch.
Shaman gets through Stelzer's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Stelzer digs a right hand underneath Shaman's ribcage. Shaman let out a lung full of air as it connected.
A head punch on the inside from Stelzer fails to land.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Stelzer.
Stelzer lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Stelzer.

Shaman takes a shot to the head.

Stelzer manages to break the clinch.
Shaman uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stelzer has time to react.
Stelzer throws a combination that misses
enabling Shaman to counter with a crisp jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shaman throws a looping overhand right but Stelzer ducks down to avoid it.
Shaman lands with a good body shot.
Stelzer takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Shaman defending well as Stelzer loads up on a big left hand.
Shaman seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
A punch lands to the side of Stelzer 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Stelzer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Shamans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Shaman throws a body punch but Stelzer moves out of range.
Stelzer walks into a jab.
Shaman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Shaman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Blind Shaman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shaman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stelzer.
Nice uppercut there from Stelzer.
Shaman connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stelzer's hands.
Shaman takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Shaman misses with an attempted mid kick.
Stelzer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Stelzer lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Stelzer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shaman.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shaman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stelzer is one step ahead there.

Stelzer drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shaman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shaman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shaman!


Shaman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Shaman is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Shaman is trying to get an arm triangle but Stelzer is defending well.
Stelzer is looking for a sweep.
Blind Shaman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee asks Shaman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Shaman prefers to stall for the moment though.

Shaman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stelzer keeps working.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stelzer throws a right hand that misses
and Shaman counters with a nice low kick that buckles Stelzer's knee momentarily.
Stelzer moves away from the strike by Shaman.
Shaman plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Blind Shaman will probably get the nod.
That's time! Shaman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

It looks like Wolfram Stelzer has been cut.
Stelzer lands a nice looking body kick.

Shaman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stelzer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stelzer lands a nice short elbow.

Shaman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Shaman is looking for a triangle but Stelzer pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stelzer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Shaman wants to sweep here but Stelzer controlling him for the moment.
Shaman wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Shaman has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Stelzer.
Shaman fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stelzer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

I think Stelzer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
