Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Rutherford (ranked 2030 p4p, 209 weight class) and Brazilian Burger (ranked 2621 p4p, 257 weight class). Rutherford comes to the cage accompanied by Genesis - Deep in the Motherlode. Burger has chosen Sorriso Maroto - Assim Você Mata o Papai as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutherford staying out of range there.
Burger closes the distance and clinches up with Rutherford, looking for a takedown. Burger pushes Rutherford against the cage but Rutherford circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rutherford quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Burger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Burger on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rutherford. Rutherford obviously looking to wear him down.
Burger is looking to score with low kicks.
Burger shoots for a double leg takedown but Rutherford sprawls well. He's pushed Burger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rutherford tried to counter with a leg kick but Burger avoided it.
Mike Rutherford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brazilian Burger.

Burger shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rutherford manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Burger content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Rutherford has locked up a guillotine! Rutherford's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Burger is holding on here and Rutherford must be using up a lot of energy. Burger has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Rutherford gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
