Embalmer's entrance music is Katy Perry - Dark Horse ft. Juicy J. A fine choice. Egyptian Embalmer could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rokuya Date's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rokuya Date!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Date keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Embalmer fails with the takedown
letting Date counter with a right hand.
Embalmer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Date's coach down at Gizmo's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Date's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Egyptian Embalmer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Embalmer goes for a double leg but Date avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Date continues to drive forward.
A nice side step and Date releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Embalmer fails with the takedown
and Date counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Embalmer seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Date leaves Embalmer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Date! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Date displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Embalmer throws out the jab.
Date throws out a counter right but Embalmer avoids it with no problem.

Embalmer is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Date's half guard.
Date tries to roll over but Embalmer keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Embalmer seems to be working for a kimura but Date defends the submission attempt.
Embalmer throwing shots but Date is blocking nicely.
Date wants to improve his position but Embalmer is controlling well.
