Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, George St Peters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Butler!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Butler instigates a clinch.

St Peters ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. St Peters no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
St Peters keeping full guard, as Butler tries to pass.
Butler slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Butler slips nicely into half guard.
St Peters has hold of Butler's hands but Butler slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Butler takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
St Peters knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Butler on the ground.
Butler prevents St Peters from standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
St Peters is looking for a sweep. Butler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
St Peters wants to get back to his feet.
Butler stalling.
Butler's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Butler works his way into full mount!
St Peters working to try and regain half guard.
Butler looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Butler controlling the pace for now.
It looks like Butler might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Butler looking for a guillotine from mount but St Peters is having none of it.

Butler is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Butler!
