Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Tsoi (ranked 6926 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Linkletter (ranked 6927 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Linkletter!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsoi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Richard Linkletter has been cut.
Tsoi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Linkletter as he avoids it easily.

Tsoi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Linkletter wants to stand but Tsoi is controlling the position.
Linkletter managing to control the position.
Linkletter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tsoi's guard.

Tsoi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tsoi wants to stand up but Linkletter is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tsoi wants to get back to his feet but Linkletter passes into half guard.

Linkletter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tsoi keeps working.
Linkletter tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Linkletter is nestled in close to Tsoi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tsoi wants to get back to his feet.

Linkletter is trying to work for a kimura but Tsoi is defending well.
Tsoi pushes Linkletter off looking to stand but Linkletter dives back in and keeps control.
Linkletter passes to side control.
Tsoi is not content to let Linkletter control the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tsoi regains half guard.
Tsoi tries to get to full guard but Linkletter has control of the leg.
Linkletter is taking a breather. Tsoi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Linkletter gets the takedown into side control.

Linkletter tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Linkletter has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Tsoi working to try and regain half guard.
Tsoi tries to lock up and control but Linkletter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Linkletter trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Linkletter scores with a couple of good head shots there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Linkletter misses with a wild body shot.
Tsoi shoots in for a double leg but Linkletter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And Linkletter tries to counter it with a takedown but Tsoi pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Tsoi tries to clinch up.
Tsoi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tsoi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Linkletter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tsoi sprawls well. Tsoi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Linkletter gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tsoi feints and as Linkletter raises his hands in defense, Tsoi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Linkletter manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Tsoi shoots in but no luck this time.
Linkletter throws a fast counter high kick but Tsoi manages to duck under it in time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Linkletter throws a low kick but Tsoi avoids it.
Linkletter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Linkletter looks for a takedown but Tsoi sprawls well.
Victor Tsoi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Linkletter.

Linkletter fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tsoi to the ground. Linkletter is now in Tsoi's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Linkletter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Linkletter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tsoi sprawls well. Tsoi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Linkletter gets slowly back to his feet.

Linkletter tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tsoi defends well and Linkletter ends up having to push Tsoi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Linkletter has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tsoi clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Tsoi is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Linkletter.

I would just about give that final round to Richard Linkletter.
