Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nicky Wire!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wire is defended easily by Kerr.
Kerr misses with a few strikes there.
Kerr throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wire tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kerr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wire somewhat.

Wire closes the distance and pushes Kerr back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kerr is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Wire knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Wire for a finish.

Kerr slips a nice elbow through Wire's hands, connecting with Wire's forehead.

Kerr is working for a submission of some sort.
Wire strikes from the bottom but Kerr uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Wire really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kerr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wire tries to control but Kerr manages to take his back.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kerr, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
