Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevens shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gentry's guard.

Gentry manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Stevens drives through and clinches with Gentry against the cage.
Stevens working hard to break the clinch.

Gentry gets control of Stevens's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gentry will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Stevens really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gentry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stevens stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gentry swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gentry is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Gentry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stevens doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stevens manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stevens wants to pass the guard but Gentry is keeping the position.
Gentry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Stevens missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Gentry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gentry looking for a triangle here. Stevens is fighting it but it looks tight! Gentry pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Stevens is tapping out - this one is all over!
