The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rich closes the distance and clinches up with McMasters, looking for a takedown. Rich pushes McMasters against the cage but McMasters circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McMasters misses with a straight right.
Rich connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rich cracks McMasters with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Mickey McMasters has been cut.
Rich bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McMasters's head backwards.
McMasters swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rich closes this distance looking for a takedown but McMasters circles away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
McMasters scores with a kick to the midsection.
Rich takes one to the chin there.
McMasters thows a body kick. Rich tries to catch it but that hurt him.

McMasters gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

McMasters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

McMasters scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rich doesn't seem bothered though.
McMasters looks to land a combination but Rich avoids it well.

McMasters moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Rich shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rich was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rich is going olschool here, as he tries to force McMasters to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McMasters shrugs it off.

Rich is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But McMasters has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from McMasters!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
