Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Bates (ranked 4611 p4p, 551 weight class) and Tod Truck (ranked 6097 p4p, 678 weight class). Tod Truck has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Micheal Bates's chin.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Truck throws a series of punches but Bates moves out of range.
Bates tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Truck manages to circle out of the way.
Bates closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bates lands in his opponent's guard.
Truck is wriggling around but Bates manages to pass to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Truck can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bates will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Truck tries to get to full guard but Bates has control of the leg.

Bates lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Truck quite badly. Truck pulls Bates in close trying to recover. Bates postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Truck on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Truck doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
