Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kian Mcvay (ranked 24723 p4p, 621 weight class) and Lawrence Fairchild (ranked 23464 p4p, 627 weight class). Mcvay comes to the cage accompanied by The xx -intro . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcvay shoots in and gets a takedown into Fairchild's guard.

Mcvay seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fairchild for as long as he can get away with.

Mcvay fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fairchild sprawls well initially but Mcvay persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fairchild tries to keep at a distance but Mcvay has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mcvay has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fairchild clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Mcvay is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Fairchild has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Mcvay keeps control of the position easily here as Fairchild tries to buck him off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
