Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudi Dassler (ranked 4727 p4p, 558 weight class) and Kyrie Perry (ranked 4066 p4p, 504 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dassler shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dassler was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Dassler is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Perry has escaped the position, nice work there.
Perry is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dassler is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dassler working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Dassler in side control, throwing shots but Perry defends.

Dassler goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Perry has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dassler but great work by Perry.

Dassler has his foot on Perry's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perry works his way back into a safe position though.

Dassler isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Perry stacks Dassler on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Perry!
Dassler is looking to regain half guard here but Perry keeps moving and retains side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Dassler's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Dassler is trying to work for a sweep but Perry has mounted him!

Perry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dassler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Perry seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Dassler is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Perry's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Perry's back!

Dassler is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Perry defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Dassler has got one arm under Perry's chin. This could be trouble... Perry trying to control the other hand but Dassler gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Perry has tapped out! The fight is over!
