PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tsutomu Miyazaki (ranked 3395 p4p, 445 weight class) and Masahiro Tanaka (ranked 7165 p4p, 717 weight class). Tanaka has chosen Takyon as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Tsutomu Miyazaki has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tsutomu Miyazaki seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tsutomu Miyazaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Masahiro Tanaka!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Miyazaki scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A head kick by Tanaka misses
and Tanaka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Miyazaki blocks a head kick by Tanaka.
Tanaka tries a head kick but it misses.
Tanaka throws a sloppy head kick
and Miyazaki counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Miyazaki scores with a shot to the body.
Tanaka throws a head kick but Miyazaki moves out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Tanaka on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Tanaka takes one on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Miyazaki lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tanaka looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Miyazaki is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Miyazaki, as that shot connected.
Tanaka moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Miyazaki scores with a hook to the body. Tanaka takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Tanaka looks winded!

Miyazaki dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tanaka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tanaka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
It looked like Miyazaki wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Miyazaki lands a really nice looking cross but Tanaka seems unphased.

Tanaka is rocked!
Tanaka drops his hands momentarily. Miyazaki doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Tanaka staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Tanaka doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tsutomu Miyazaki!
During a confident post fight interview, Tsutomu Miyazaki thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
