Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Tarasov (ranked 3043 p4p, 425 weight class) and Thomas Boothe (ranked 9826 p4p, 850 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Tarasov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 50 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Boothe!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarasov misses with a double jab.
Boothe avoids a punch combination nicely.

Tarasov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Boothe is trying to keep Tarasov in close.
Tarasov wants to control from the top but Boothe keeps moving.
Tarasov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boothe swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tarasov lands a nice short elbow.

Tarasov jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Boothe manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Boothe is trying to control Tarasov's posture but Tarasov avoids it.
Tarasov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Boothe keeps working.

Tarasov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Boothe has escaped the position, nice work there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tarasov tries for a kimura but Boothe is defending well.

Tarasov swings around for an armbar but Boothe sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tarasov's guard.

Tarasov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boothe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tarasov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boothe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tarasov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boothe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boothe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tarasov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
