PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Pouncey (ranked 3454 p4p, 387 weight class) and Culver Crimson (ranked 3522 p4p, 395 weight class). Culver Crimson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crimson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Crimson has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and Pouncey goes down! Crimson pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!

Pouncey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crimson.

It looked like Pouncey was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Crimson.

Crimson steps into range and cracks Pouncey with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Pouncey flops backwards and Crimson dives into his guard looking to finish!
Crimson is fighting to break Pouncey's control of his arms but Pouncey is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Crimson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Crimson lands a stunning uppercut that sends Pouncey to the mat!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Crimson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Crimson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Crimson jerks Pouncey's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Pouncey drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Crimson goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Crimson because Pouncey was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
