Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emon Yang (ranked 2806 p4p, 379 weight class) and Joey Warren (ranked 3743 p4p, 476 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Emon Yang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joey Warren!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warren misses with a series of wild punches.
Warren connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Yang's hands.
Warren's coach down at Blood Warrior was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Warren's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A swing and a miss from Warren.
A combination from Warren does no damage.
Yang throws a right and a left that both miss.
Warren throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Yang counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Yang is nestled in close to Warren, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Yang is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Yang seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Warren does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Yang will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yang tries to pass the half guard into mount. Warren knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Warren is looking to improve his position.
Yang is keen to just control but Warren is a slippery customer.

Yang is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Warren doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yang.
Yang prevents Warren from improving his position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Warren trying to control but Yang postures up.
Yang wants to pass the guard but Warren is defending well.
Warren is pressing down on Yang's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Warren bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yang's guard.

Yang wants to sweep here but Warren controlling him for the moment.
Warren is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Yang is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Warren chips away with some ground and pound.
Warren postures up.
Yang doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Warren drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yang manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Warren has Yang in his guard.

Warren pulls Yang in to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Warren looking for a sweep. Not yet Warren, not yet.

Warren looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Yang passes into side control.
Warren is looking to reverse the position.
Warren looks to move to half guard but instead Yang has passed into mount! Damn!
Warren tries to reverse the position but Yang maintains control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Yang lands a big shot there that rocks Warren but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Warren working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Emon Yang will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Warren tries to bum rush Yang with a series of wild strikes but Yang uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Joey Warren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for Yang with that takedown attempt.
Warren ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yang moves away.
Warren throws a right and a left that Yang avoids nicely.
Yang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Warren is fending him off so far but Yang persists. Nope, Warren circles away and we're back to standing.
Yang tries to clinch but Warren moves away
and Warren counters with a straight right hand.
Yang avoids the body shot from Warren.
Warren misses with a jab, cross combination.
Yang feinted with a counter takedown.
Warren drops Yang with a straight right hand, right on the button! Warren follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joey Warren!
