The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
York lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
York just misses with a punch to the body.
Diaz is looking for a counter combo.
Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from York.
York jabs Diaz right on the nose. Diaz blinks but takes it well.
York throws a hook to the side of Diaz's head but Diaz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

York keeps control of Diaz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
York's coach down at The Furnace was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on York's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

York creates a bit of distance and cracks Diaz with a big uppercut! Diaz goes down! The referee pushes York away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Diaz make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! York takes it!
