Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shoei Braz (ranked 1741 p4p, 250 weight class) and Bruno Aires (ranked 445 p4p, 63 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shoei Braz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 17 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bruno Aires!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Braz looking to score a takedown here. Aires is defending well but Braz drives through and ends up in Aires's guard.
Braz is fighting to break Aires's control of his arms but Aires is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Aires looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Aires's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Braz has gone for a leg lock! Aires slips out almost immediately though and dives into Braz's guard.

Aires slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Aires wants to control from the top but Braz keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Braz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Braz is working for a kimura but Aires is defending it quite comfortably.

Braz wants to work for an arm triangle but Aires is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Braz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aires is just riding it out for now. Braz eventually gives up the hold.

Braz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Aires defends it well.

Braz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Aires doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Braz.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Braz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aires is just riding it out for now. Braz eventually gives up the hold.

Aires drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Aires is looking to take a break and control but Braz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee asks Aires politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Aires prefers to stall for the moment though.

Aires creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Braz sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Aires throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Braz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Aires is in Braz's guard.

Braz is looking for a triangle but Aires pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aires is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Braz is staying active underneath Aires, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Aires lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Bruno Aires showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Braz seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Aires closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Aires cracks Braz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The referee warns Braz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Aires can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Braz is looking to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Aires might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Braz haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Bruno Aires comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Aires has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Bruno Aires thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Shoei Braz spoke after the fight, saying 'I`ll be back'.
