Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rian MacFarlane (ranked 2109 p4p, 260 weight class) and John Wayne Gracie (ranked 1279 p4p, 155 weight class). MacFarlane kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Foggy Dew. Gracie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Thriller by Michael Jackson. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie tries to land a front kick but MacFarlane steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
MacFarlane has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Gracie moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
MacFarlane uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gracie.
MacFarlane lands a glancing blow to the side of Gracie's head.

and MacFarlane connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

MacFarlane takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A slow jab from MacFarlane misses its intended target.

Gracie throws out a counter right but MacFarlane avoids it with no problem.
Gracie connects with a nice looking jab.
Gracie has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gracie lands a jab to the head.
Rian MacFarlane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gracie closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Gracie throws a monster overhand right that drops MacFarlane! Gracie follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
