The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pepper bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gonzales fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pepper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gonzales moves away.
Gonzales with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Pepper throws a jab but it's blocked by Gonzales.
A shot to the liver by Pepper. Beautiful body shot.
Pepper tries to bum rush Gonzales with a series of wild strikes but Gonzales uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gonzales paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Gonzales throws a body shot but no joy.
Gonzales misses with a body shot.
We've been informed that Pepper has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Pepper connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Gonzales! He's out on his feet! Pepper rushes in and drops Gonzales with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
