Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Masahiro Tanaka (ranked 6934 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Boi (ranked 5282 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanaka kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Takyon. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Big Boi has been cut.
Tanaka scores with a head kick.
A head kick from Tanaka lands but Boi takes it in his stride.
Boi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Tanaka throws a head kick that half lands.
Boi shoots in looking for a takedown but Tanaka manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Boi shoots for a takedown but Tanaka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Boi takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Boi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Tanaka kicks Boi off and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boi shoots in but Tanaka avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Masahiro Tanaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Boi.
Boi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tanaka seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Tanaka lands a head kick that stumbles Boi and the fighters go to the mat.

That has opened up Big Boi's cut even more.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Boi has eaten all the pies!
