Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rory Green (ranked 25634 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anet Olive (ranked 6618 p4p, 0 weight class). Anet Olive has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rory Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anet Olive!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olive shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Green looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Green throws a combination that misses

and Olive counters by clinching up.
Olive taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Olive pulls Green into guard.
Olive is trying to control the position but Green postures up.
Olive really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Olive might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Green haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Olive has his foot on Green's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Green works his way back into a safe position though.
Olive is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Olive controls Green momentarily but Green frees himself.
Green is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Green lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Olive circles away quickly and effectively.
Olive tries to score a power double leg takedown but Green sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Olive somewhat.

Olive darts in looking for a takedown but Green gets double underhooks and turns Olive into the cage.
Rory Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anet Olive.

Olive tries to keep at a distance but Green has taken the fight into the clinch.
Olive lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Green slows down the pace here.
Olive pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Olive is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Green tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Olive's elbow.

Olive tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Green swivels and escapes.
Green misses with the combination.
Green leaves Olive with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Green quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Olive tries to counter by closing the distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Olive.
Green tries to bum rush Olive with a series of wild strikes but Olive uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Olive is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

We've been told by Green's head coaches at Cozad The Island that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Olive lands an overhand right.
Olive moves out of range as Green throws a body kick.
Olive steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Green.
Green avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Olive shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Green as he jumps to the side.
Olive has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Olive looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Green appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Crunch! Green slams his shin into Olive's torso.

It looked like Green wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

It looked like Green was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Olive tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Green defends well and Olive ends up having to push Green into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Anet Olive seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Green closes the distance and pushes Olive back into the cage.
Green is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Olive can do to turn this around?

Olive pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Olive scores with a head kick.

Green scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Green digs a right hand into Olive's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Olive's gas tank.

Green goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Green slows down the pace here.
Olive has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Green after a bit of a struggle.

Olive tightens his grip and picks Green up, before dumping him to the ground. Green manages to land in guard.

Green pushes Olive off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Horrible takedown attempt by Olive or perhaps it was just good defense by Green, which made it look bad.
Green tries to counter with a takedown but Olive is quick to defend against it.
Green lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Olive circles away quickly and effectively.

Olive shoots for a double leg takedown but Green sprawls well. He's pushed Olive's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Olive tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Rory Green showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Green, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
