Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, DJ Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Shaw 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like DJ Shaw has been cut.
Shaw looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Tater throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Tater finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Tater listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Tater cracks Shaw with an uppercut from hell and Shaw crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Tater's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Shaw is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tater throwing strikes from guard but Shaw blocks nicely.
Shaw is still in real trouble! Can Tater finish him?
Tater is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tater's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Tater with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Tater is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tater advances position into side control!
Shaw taking a bit of punishment here - Tater scoring with strikes.
A big shot lands for Tater! That's hurt Shaw! Will he recover? Tater fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dick Tater!
