Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan The Beast (ranked 2878 p4p, 329 weight class) and Ricco Torres (ranked 23318 p4p, 801 weight class). The Beast comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Broken. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Beast bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Torres's head backwards.
The Beast uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Torres.
Torres looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

and Torres moves into the clinch.

Torres wants to stand but The Beast is controlling his posture from full guard.

The Beast had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Torres defends it easily.
Torres wants to control from the top but The Beast keeps moving.
Torres must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Torres got a little sloppy there for a moment and The Beast has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Torres has managed to get both his arms back between The Beast's legs - danger averted.

The Beast looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Torres has picked The Beast up and slammed him! The Beast can't keep hold of the triangle and Torres manages to pass to side control!

Torres stands up and beckons The Beast to his feet.
Torres misses with a hook. The Beast ducked under it nicely.
Torres cracks a nice hook into The Beast's ribs.

The Beast really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Torres has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Torres feints and as The Beast raises his hands in defense, Torres changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The Beast escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Torres gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The Beast will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Torres drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Torres jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Torres shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. The Beast is trying to defend but Torres finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

It looked like The Beast wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and The Beast counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The Beast tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Torres was well out of range. Poor timing from The Beast.
The Beast throws out a loose jab but Torres uses good head movement to avoid it.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts The Beast, as that shot connected.
The Beast is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Torres is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Torres uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by The Beast.

The Beast wants to control position but Torres is using a can opener to pass guard... He's turned it into a full on guillotine from mount now! Big trouble for The Beast here! He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.
