Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Arcane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thomas Cromwell!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cromwell lands a really nice looking cross but Arcane seems unphased.

Arcane bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cromwell takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Arcane misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cromwell can do anything to dispel that myth.
Arcane throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Arcane's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arcane misses with the ground and pound.
Arcane in side control, throwing shots but Cromwell defends.

Cromwell is not content to let Arcane control the position.

Arcane frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Arcane looking to finish Cromwell with some ground and pound. This is bad for Cromwell!
Cromwell felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Cromwell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Arcane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cromwell is bucking up trying to escape but Arcane cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Cromwell is still in real trouble! Can Arcane finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cromwell takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Arcane's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Arcane!
A very excited looking Johnny Arcane rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
