PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Herschel Pettaway (ranked 2684 p4p, 261 weight class) and Reno Rawlings (ranked 1868 p4p, 190 weight class). Pettaway comes to the cage accompanied by Empire State of Mind - Jay Z. The crowd seem to be enjoying Rawlings's choice of entrance music: Burned. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Herschel Pettaway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reno Rawlings!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pettaway does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Rawlings avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Pettaway's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
