Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Holm (ranked 2185 p4p, 303 weight class) and Lyle Chipperson (ranked 5227 p4p, 616 weight class). Chipperson has chosen Chip Chipperson - Tears as his entrance music. Lyle Chipperson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lyle Chipperson!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chipperson shoots in for a takedown but Holm shows good takedown defense.
A little feinted left hand from Holm on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Chipperson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Holm misses the target.
Chipperson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Holm's waist but Holm gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chipperson off to one side.

Holm goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Holm lands a hook to the side of the head.
Chipperson is trying to pull guard but Holm has him pressed against the cage.
Holm tries to throw a body punch but Chipperson avoids it by throwing Holm back against the cage.

Chipperson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Chipperson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holm is looking to stand up but Chipperson won't let him.
Chipperson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chipperson looking for a guillotine here but Holm defends easily.

Chipperson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Holm doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Holm manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Holm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chipperson on the ground.

Holm was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Chipperson moves out of range of the strikes.

and Holm counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Chipperson wants to clinch

Martin Holm is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Holm counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chipperson goes for a double leg but Holm avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Holm continues to drive forward.
Chipperson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Chipperson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Holm defends well and Chipperson ends up having to push Holm into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Chipperson jumps guard but Holm stands there with Chipperson around his waist. Chipperson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Holm throws a punch but it's blocked by Chipperson.

Holm digs a right hand into Chipperson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Chipperson's gas tank.

Holm presses Chipperson against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Holm creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Holm pushes Chipperson against the cage. Holm is working some dirty boxing. Holm pushes off with a quick right hook! Chipperson goes down! Chipperson tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Holm moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Martin Holm!
Martin Holm decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
Lyle Chipperson spoke after the fight, saying 'This greased-up steroid-monster won just because my pre-fight blueberry smoothie was laced! And the judges and the referee were bought! And it was an early stoppage! And even the goddamn mat was too slippery!'.
