The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza throws an overhand right that lands on Kass's shoulder, as Kass tries to avoid the shot.
Souza swings widly with a right hand
and Kass counters with a right hand to the body.

Marcos Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kass ducks right into an uppercut from Souza.
Souza looks to land a left hand but Kass moved out of range nicely.
Souza misses with a hook. Kass ducked under it nicely.

and Souza takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kass throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Kass counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Souza thinking.

Kass rushes Souza and presses him up against the cage.

Souza throws a hook but Kass avoids it easily.

Souza is still on wobbly legs! Can Kass finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Souza tries to get into range but Kass steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Souza! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Kass scores the big KO victory!
