The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lotus shoots in for a double leg but Hay sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lotus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hay as he avoids it easily.

Hay lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lotus backs up against the cage.

It looks like Tommy Lotus has been cut.

Lotus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hay sprawls well. Hay wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lotus gets slowly back to his feet.

Lotus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hay's waist but Hay gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lotus off to one side.

Hay lands a big head kick that sends Lotus to the canvas! Hay follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

A very excited looking Nick Hay rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
