The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Badger shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Conley is trying to defend but Badger finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Badger drops an elbow to the side of Conley's head.
Conley preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Conley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Conley moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Conley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Badger must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Badger is fighting to break Conley's control of his arms but Conley is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Badger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Conley is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Conley is looking to advance position but Badger won't allow it.

Conley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Badger with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
