Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Tae Shik Cha (ranked 2924 p4p, 287 weight class) and Vik Vader (ranked 3802 p4p, 355 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cha might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Emancipator - When I Go. On his way into the ring it seems that Tae Shik Cha has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tae Shik Cha seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Tae Shik Cha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vik Vader!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cha throws a big shot that misses.
Vader scoring well with a low kick there.
Vader misses the jab.
Cha keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A low kick from Vader is predictable there
and Cha counters with a nice uppercut.
Cha throws a left and a right that both miss
and Vader counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A big right from Vader misses.
Cha avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cha connects with a looping right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vader slips a jab and a cross from Cha.
Vader dodges the punch combination from Cha.
The fighters circle momentarily. Vader darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

As Cha backs off Vader throws a huge counter combo but Cha manages to avoid it all.

Vader loads up on a big right hand but Cha slips the punch.
Vader throws the left hand but Cha avoids the punch easily.
It looked like Cha wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Vader throws a head kick but Cha moves out of range.

Cha will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cha throws a series of punches but Vader avoids them all with ease.

Cha moves out of range of the leg kick from Vader.
Cha throws a jab but it's blocked by Vader.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cha ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cha was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Cha throws a hook to the side of Vader's head but Vader sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Vader avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Vader moves into range and connects with a jab.
Cha misses with the combination.
Vader looks to land a right hand but Cha moved out of range.
Nice defenses there by Cha.
Cha misses the shot to the body.
Vader misses with a low kick.
Vader ducks under a wild hook from Cha.
Cha's corner calls for a 1-2. Cha obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Cha takes a jab right on the kisser.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tae Shik Cha dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Cha throws a body punch but Vader moves out of range.
Vader drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Vader shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Vader comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Cha is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vader can do to turn this around?

Cha ducks right into an uppercut from Vader.
Cha throws a hook but Vader blocks it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Vader! But no joy.

Cha's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Cha duly obliges.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vader dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cha. That did some damage!
Vader buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tae Shik Cha is winning the standup battle so far.

Cha connects with a looping right hand.

Vader throws a nice looking combination but Cha bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vader. Cha does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vader lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Cha avoids the head kick by Vader.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vader, as that shot connected.

Cha throws a looping overhand right but Vader ducks down to avoid it.

Cha avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Cha ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vader moves away.

Vader with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cha fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vader manages to avoid it.

Vader throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cha gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Vader moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Cha swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Vader lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Cha throws a hook to the side of Vader's head but Vader sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Vik Vader will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Vader bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Cha steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vader.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vader swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Cha takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vader uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cha has time to react.
Vader misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cha throws out a loose jab but Vader uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vader lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Cha is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Vader tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cha was well out of range. Poor timing from Vader.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Vader lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cha has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cha and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Cha was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Vader slips under a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cha ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vader moves away.
Cha checks a low kick from Vader.
Vader scores with a jab.
Cha throws an overhand right that lands on Vader's shoulder, as Vader tries to avoid the shot.
Cha with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Vader bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Cha misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cha throws a hook to the side of Vader's head but Vader sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Vader connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tae Shik Cha.
Well Cha has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
