Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Matt Major (ranked 7469 p4p, 215 weight class) and Joey Diaz (ranked 7186 p4p, 132 weight class). Major comes to the ring accompanied by The Dark Tunnel Interview. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Major throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Diaz counters with a nice body kick.
Major looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Major misses with a straight right.
Major takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Major throws a right hand that misses
and Diaz counters with a good low kick that Major was not able to check.
Major fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Diaz, pushing him back against the ropes.

Diaz bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Major clinches with his opponent.
Major has Diaz pressed against the ropes, preventing Diaz from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Matt Major seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diaz thumps Major with a low kick.
Major will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Diaz throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Diaz lands with a kick to the ribs.
Diaz pushes Major away with a front kick.
Major takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Major on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Diaz.
Diaz has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Major misses with a lunging right hand
and Diaz counters with a good, hard body kick but Major shrugs it off.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Diaz lets loose with a powerful body kick. Major will feel that in the morning.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Major takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Diaz throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
A thudding body kick lands there by Diaz!

Diaz lands a head kick that bluckles Major and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Diaz no doubt looking to push for a finish!

Diaz moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Oh Major is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Major on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Major walks into a perfectly timed head kick by Diaz and drops face first to the floor! Major's eyes are wide open but he's not all there - he's just flopping around the mat like a drunk on rollerskates! The referee doesn't even start the count - he's called an end to the fight, with Major in no position to continue!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Joey Diaz!
Joey Diaz bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
