Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nils Holgersson (ranked 1613 p4p, 180 weight class) and Krejzi Kure (ranked 1367 p4p, 149 weight class). Holgersson comes to the cage accompanied by Theme. Kure has chosen BIG SHUG - who's hard as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Krejzi Kure enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nils Holgersson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Krejzi Kure!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holgersson slips under a jab.
Holgersson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kure defends well and Holgersson ends up having to push Kure into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Kure tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Holgersson was well out of range. Poor timing from Kure.
Holgersson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Holgersson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kure napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Holgersson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kure is trying to defend but Holgersson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Kure is looking for a sweep. Holgersson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Holgersson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kure's waist but Kure gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holgersson off to one side.

Holgersson changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Holgersson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kure sprawls well. Kure wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Holgersson gets slowly back to his feet.
Despite the aggression on Kure's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Holgersson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
