Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baron Brady (ranked 3693 p4p, 404 weight class) and Aniceto Platanares (ranked 4175 p4p, 445 weight class). Platanares has chosen Las Piedras Rodantes (El Tri de Mejico) as his entrance music. The key to victory for Baron Brady has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brady throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Platanares manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Brady on his heels. He'll look to pass Brady's guard now, I'm sure.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brady is on top in guard.

Platanares really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brady. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brady distracts Platanares with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Platanares can't keep his opponent in guard - Brady advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brady is working for a submission of some sort.

Brady is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Platanares sees it coming and defends easily.

Platanares is trying to stand up here but Brady is controlling him well.
Platanares is staying active underneath Brady, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Platanares pushes Brady off looking to stand but Brady dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Brady is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Platanares defends it well.

Jumping up and down and very excited, Baron Brady waved his t-shirt featuring Juggernaut And Gladiators's logo in front of the cameras.
Aniceto Platanares spoke after the fight, saying 'I had an injured rectum so wasn't 100% for this fight. I'll be back stronger'.
