Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Happy Forclit (ranked 111 p4p, 13 weight class) and Cornelius Carr (ranked 141 p4p, 18 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Carr's choice of entrance music: Bang Bang. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Happy Forclit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cornelius Carr!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forclit misses with a leg kick
letting Carr counter with a right hand.


It looks like Happy Forclit has been cut.
Carr digs a good hook to Forclit's body.
A combination from Forclit does no damage.
Carr ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Carr swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Carr connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Forclit's hands.
Forclit ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carr moves away.
Nice jab there from Forclit.
Forclit connects with the punch.
Carr with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Carr moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Forclit throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Forclit needs to keep his hands up - Carr had a free shot at his head there.
Carr shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Forclit misses with a body shot.
Cornelius Carr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Forclit accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Forclit postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Forclit trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Forclit throwing strikes from guard but Carr blocks nicely.
Forclit scoring with some ground and pound.
Forclit forces his way into half guard.
Carr regains full guard. Nicely done.
Forclit with a nice head shot there.
Forclit with a flurry of punches that miss.

Forclit wants to control from the top but Carr keeps moving.
Carr seems keen to control Forclit's posture.
Carr working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Forclit.
Forclit trying to control the position from guard on top but Carr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Forclit has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Forclit pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carr is keeping the position for now.
Carr wants to sweep here but Forclit controlling him for the moment.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Forclit is fighting to break Carr's control of his arms but Carr is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nice uppercut there from Carr.
Forclit misses with a two punch combination.
Carr looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Forclit is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carr.
Carr thows a left - swing and a miss!
Carr misses with a hook. Forclit ducked under it nicely.
Carr misses with a wild body shot.
Carr swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Forclit counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Carr connects with a jab.


Happy Forclit's cut is getting worse.
Forclit avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nice defenses there by Forclit.
Forclit tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Carr is able to avoid easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Happy Forclit will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Happy Forclit's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Forclit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carr tries to avoid it but Forclit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carr to the ground. Carr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Carr counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Forclit slips a jab from Carr.
Carr connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Forclit throws a hook but Carr avoids it easily.
A little jabbing left from Carr on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Forclit throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A nice side step and Carr releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Forclit misses with a takedown attempt

and Carr counters with a crisp one two that drops Forclit! Carr thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Forclit to his feet! Forclit is in big trouble!


Forclit is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Happy Forclit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
An inside leg kick lands from Carr.
Oh Forclit is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Happy Forclit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Carr misses the target.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Carr darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Forclit's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Carr before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cornelius Carr!
An out of breath Cornelius Carr thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
