Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cesar Colnago (ranked 3845 p4p, 420 weight class) and Bram Smit (ranked 5001 p4p, 535 weight class). Bram Smit has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Cesar Colnago's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cesar Colnago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bram Smit!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colnago looks to throw the jab but Smit is out of range.
Colnago looks to score with a jab to the body but Smit is just out of range.
Smit is looking to clinch but Colnago is avoiding it.
Colnago connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smit momentarily.
Smit takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Smit doesn't manage to clinch there - Colnago circles away.
Colnago ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smit moves away.
Colnago scores with the left hand. Smit knows he should have avoided that one.

Colnago clobbers Smit with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Smit tries to counter with a clinch but Colnago shakes him off and moves away.

Smit looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

A frustrated look appears on Colnago's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Colnago throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Smits head.
Colnago swings wildly with an uppercut but Smit uses good head movement to avoid it.

Colnago cracks Smit with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Colnago lands with a hook. Smit tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Cesar Colnago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Colnago is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smit uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Colnago.

Colnago lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Smit tries to clinch there but Colnago circles away.
Colnago lands with a hook. Smit tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

As Colnago backs off Smit throws a huge counter combo but Colnago manages to avoid it all.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smit takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Smit in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Colnago cracks Smit with an uppercut from hell and Smit crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Colnago's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Colnago knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smit on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
