PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Raleigh Mason (ranked 6500 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Lindell (ranked 6056 p4p, 614 weight class). Chuck Lindell is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chuck Lindell!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mason takes the fight into the clinch.

It looks like Raleigh Mason has been cut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lindell has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Mason shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lindell defends it nicely.

Lindell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mason. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lindell is working Mason over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Mason has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Lindell is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Raleigh Mason.
