PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jakub Trabowski (ranked 3485 p4p, 390 weight class) and Duke Murdock (ranked 4962 p4p, 530 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Murdock throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Trabowski tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Murdock is in Trabowski's guard.

Murdock throws an elbow that misses. Trabowski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Murdock's guard. Nice move by Trabowski!

Murdock wants to stand up but Trabowski is controlling him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Murdock can do anything to dispel that myth.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Trabowski connects with a nice short shot to Murdock's temple.

It looks like Duke Murdock has been cut.
Trabowski stops Murdock from getting back to his feet.
We've been hearing that Trabowski has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Murdock is trying to stand up here but Trabowski is controlling him well.
Trabowski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Murdock keeps working.

That has opened up Duke Murdock's cut even more.

Trabowski working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Trabowski lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Murdock down.

Duke Murdock's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
