Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hector Ballane!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballane misses with a two punch combination.
Patterson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Patterson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Sloppy strikes from Ballane. Those never looked like landing.
Patterson has closed the distance and engaged Ballane in a clinch.
Ballane trying to control the position but instead, Patterson has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ballane into the cage.
Patterson gets control of Ballane's arms and successfully pulls guard. Patterson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Patterson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ballane tries to free his leg and advance position but Patterson is retaining full guard.
Ballane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ballane wants to stand but Patterson is controlling his posture from full guard.
Patterson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ballane.
Ballane trying to control but Patterson is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Patterson pulls Ballane in close to prevent any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Patterson throws a head kick that misses.
Ballane unleashes a big counter combination but Patterson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Ballane lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Ballane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Patterson circles away quickly and effectively.
Patterson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ballane misses with a combination
and Patterson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Patterson can't get the takedown.
Ballane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Patterson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ballane's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ballane duly obliges.
Patterson is rocked!
Ballane lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Patterson falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Hector Ballane!
