The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lotus lands a lovely overhand right.

It looks like Arseni Tereshchenko has been cut.
Lotus scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Tereshchenko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lotus counters with a straight right hand.

Lotus cracks Tereshchenko with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Tereshchenko looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lotus finish him?

Tereshchenko closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lotus quickly recovers to half guard.
Lotus is trying to stand up here but Tereshchenko is controlling him well.
Tereshchenko works his way into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tereshchenko tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Tereshchenko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lotus keeps working.
Lotus tries to buck Tereshchenko off but Tereshchenko is having none of it.

Tereshchenko has hold of Lotus's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lotus seems comfortable defending it but Tereshchenko has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lotus is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lotus is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Tereshchenko couldn't care less - he's delighted!
