Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piero Stevens (ranked 9560 p4p, 728 weight class) and Syntra Cynster (ranked 25220 p4p, 778 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Piero Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Syntra Cynster!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Stevens misses.
Cynster wants to clinch up but Stevens keeps it at a distance.
A punch combination from Cynster misses.
Piero Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stevens throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cynster on the side of the head.


It looks like Syntra Cynster has been cut.
Stevens throws a nice looking combination but Cynster bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Stevens swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stevens throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Cynster should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Stevens swinging wildly here.
Cynster is looking for the big counter here.
Cynster swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cynster takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stevens fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stevens misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stevens moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stevens lands a slapping body shot.

Stevens gets tackled into the cage by Cynster. Cynster maintains the clinch.
Stevens tries to break the clinch but Cynster is controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stevens is looking to break free of the clinch but Cynster has double underhooks.

Cynster escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cynster fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stevens, pushing him back against the cage.
Cynster tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Cynster manages to break the clinch.
Stevens will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cynster is looking to clinch.

Stevens drops Cynster with a beautiful combination! Cynster stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Stevens is looking for the KO!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes from Stevens. Those never looked like landing.
Stevens tries to bum rush Cynster with a series of wild strikes but Cynster uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cynster tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stevens paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Cynster scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Stevens kicks off Cynster and gets to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stevens throws a right and a left that Cynster avoids nicely.
Stevens takes a swing at Cynster's ribcage but misses.
Stevens throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stevens throws a combination that misses
and Cynster connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cynster lands with a nice body punch.
Stevens lands a jab.


That has opened up Syntra Cynster's cut even more.
Stevens with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cynster to score with a decent uppercut.
A head kick misses from Cynster.
Stevens displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cynster.
As Cynster looks to move away, Stevens throws a big counter combo but Cynster just gets out of the way.

Cynster gets a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stevens leaning his opponent against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Stevens's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Stevens is trying to force a seperation but Cynster has the dominant position.

Cynster breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stevens fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cynster on the side of the head.


The cut above Syntra Cynster's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Stevens connects with a nice looking jab.

Stevens lands a left and a right that send Cynster crashing to the mat, dazed. Stevens thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Cynster is rocked!


Syntra Cynster's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Syntra Cynster's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Piero Stevens!
