Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Keith Blubb!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow takes one to the side of the head.


It looks like Mike Snow has been cut.

Blubb sends Snow crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Blubb is motioning to the referee to let Snow up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Snow is rocked!
Snow fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Oh Snow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mike Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blubb avoids the body shot from Snow.
Snow seems to have got his legs back now.

Keith Blubb is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Blubb bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Snow is defended easily by Blubb.

Snow throws a jab but it's blocked by Blubb.

Snow is looking to wear down Blubb with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Snow shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Snow showed some decent athleticism there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blubb wants to get back to full guard but Snow has mounted him!
Blubb keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Snow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Snow goes for an armbar but Blubb turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Blubb.
Blubb must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Snow is striking but Blubb is not phased and passes to half guard.
Snow is looking for a sweep. Blubb is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Snow throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Snow tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blubb swivels and escapes.

Snow misses with a shot to the body
and Blubb counters with a stiff right hand.

Snow closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Blubb to the mat! Blubb manages to get full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blubb can do anything to dispel that myth.
Snow wants to control from the top but Blubb keeps moving.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Blubb. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Snow postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Snow working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Blubb utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Snow tries to free his leg and advance position but Blubb is retaining full guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Blubb looks to score with a jab to the body but Snow is just out of range.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Snow swings for the body but Blubb moves out of range.
Snow fails with the takedown.
Snow takes a swing at Blubb's ribcage but misses.
Blubb throws out a counter right but Snow avoids it with no problem.
Blubb works Snow's body with a nice hook.
Snow closes this distance looking for a takedown but Blubb circles away.
Blubb throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Snow stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Snow looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Blubb is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Snow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blubb keeps working.
Blubb is trying to control but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Snow not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Snow is trying to control the action in half guard but Blubb is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Snow connects with a nice short shot to Blubb's temple.
Blubb moves into full guard.
Snow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Snow trying to control the position from guard on top but Blubb is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Snow lands an elbow.
Snow lands some shots froms side control.
Snow tries to move into full mount but can't pass Blubb's legs.
Snow scores with a couple of short elbows.
Blubb is looking for a sweep.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Snow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blubb keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Snow misses with a takedown
and Blubb counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Snow shoots in looking for a takedown. Blubb tries to sprawl out of it but Snow keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blubb manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Blubb missing with a left hand there. Snow was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Snow on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Snow takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Blubb connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blubb has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A decent looking cross lands there for Blubb.
Blubb lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Snow at a distance.
Blubb jabs Snow to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Blubb paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Blubb lands a jab to Snow's midsection.
Blubb drops Snow with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Snow! Blubb dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Keith Blubb decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
