PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris White (ranked 23158 p4p, 717 weight class) and Ryan Lock (ranked 24036 p4p, 728 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Lock!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from White. No joy for Lock on that attempt.
Lock is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
White shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lock eats them both and turns towards White to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
White avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
White quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
White lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lock circles away quickly and effectively.
Lock dodges the punch combination from White.
White shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lock defends it nicely.
White shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lock but Lock pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lock tries to keep at a distance but White has taken the fight into the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

White connects with a body shot that sends Lock's belly button to the back.

Lock shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says White as he avoids it easily.

Lock fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with White, pushing him back against the cage.

Lock shoots in looking for a takedown but White manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lock's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
It looked like White was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
White misses with a looping left.
White throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Lock has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by White after a bit of a struggle.

White is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lock can do to turn this around?

Chris White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lock fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but White avoids it really well and circles away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lock jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as White walks away with a smile on his face. Lock gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lock goes for a double leg but White avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as White continues to drive forward.

White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
