Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin lands with a nice body kick.
DaCoca slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Putin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but DaCoca was well out of range. Poor timing from Putin.

It looks like Charles DaCoca has been cut.

DaCoca takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Putin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Putin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
DaCoca swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Putin tries to score a power double leg takedown but DaCoca sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Putin somewhat.

Putin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before DaCoca has time to react.

DaCoca tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Putin's elbow.
Putin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
DaCoca has a couple of punches blocked by Putin.

Beast Putin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

DaCoca might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

DaCoca has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Putin is working away from the top position though.

Putin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

DaCoca is looking for a sweep. Putin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
My spies in IC&E Academy inform me that Putin has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

That kick from Putin tenderised DaCoca's leg. DaCoca is trying to keep his angry face on.

and DaCoca counters with a stiff right hand.

Putin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. DaCoca doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Putin.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Putin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Putin has his foot on DaCoca's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DaCoca works his way back into a safe position though.

DaCoca lands a big head kick that sends Putin tumbling to the mat! DaCoca takes a step backwards and waves Putin back to his feet - he wants the finish!
DaCoca throws the left hand but Putin avoids the punch easily.
Putin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around DaCoca's waist but DaCoca gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Putin off to one side.

and DaCoca scores with a counter punch that sends Putin to the canvas! DaCoca smells blood - he's punishing Putin with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Putin has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
